LATE 2000s

• 2007: There were 20 Texas students who received scholarships totaling $20,750! TDAF scholarships were funded by thirteen endowed scholarships, TDA district affiliate contributions, the annual statewide raffle, collections from the Big Hat Scholarship donation at TDA FNCE and a generous donation from the Texas Consultant Dietitians for Health Care Facilities of Texas. This year, Houston Area Dietetic Association became the first district to increase the $20,000 endowment level. Individual RD donors, including Georgia Kostas and Merry Jo Hopkins, committed to provide annual scholarships. The raffle was a huge success with about $5,500 being raised this year. Thank you to the districts, individuals, and corporate sponsors who made this possible!
