MID 2000s

• Spring 2005: A total of 21 scholarships for $18,250 were awarded for the 2005-2006 academic year. In 2005, Houston Area Dietetic Association established an endowed scholarship.
• 2006: This proved to be a record breaking year with 24 scholarships totaling $22,700 being awarded! For the first time, the scholarships included two $1,250 scholarships given to top scholars. TDAF scholarships were funded by thirteen scholarships endowed by either the $10,000 or $20,000 level, ten TDA district affiliate contributions, the annual statewide raffle, collections from the Big Hat Scholarship donations at TDA FNCE and a $1,000 donation from Texas Consultant Dietitians for Health Care Facilities of Texas. The raffle was a huge success with more than $5,500 being raised this year. Thank you to the districts, individuals, and corporate sponsors who made this possible!
